New Braunfels:
only 15 minutes away you will find Schlitterbaun Water Park, Landa Park,
Prince of Solms, the Sophienberg Museum, Natural Bridge Caverns,
Naeglins Bakery and many fine restaurants.
Gruene: In less than 10
minutes you can be in Gruene Historical District, a restored Texas town
from the 1800’s, located on the Guadalupe River. Visit the sites of
Gruene Hall (the oldest dance hall and salon in Texas), a Texas Winery,
several restaurants, antique and specialty shops, all in walking
distance.
San Marcos: 20 minutes away
is San Marcos Outlet Mall, one of the largest attractions in the state
of Texas, Aqua Marina Springs, Southwest Texas State University, and
Wonder Cave all located on the San Marcos River.
Wimberly: only 20 minutes
away located on the Blanco River. There you will find a Dude ranch, a
Pioneer town and Antique shops.
San Antonio: In just 45
minutes you can visit the world famous Texas Alamo and a variety of
other sites such as Sea World, Fiesta Texas, The River Walk, The I-Max
theater, Hemisfair Plaza, and Brackenridge Park and Zoo.
Austin:
We are less than 1 hour away from our State Capitol, Lyndon B.
Johnson Library & Ranch, The University of Texas, 6th
Street (similar to Bourbon St in Louisiana), Lake Travis, and the
Colorado River.
Fredericksburg: is another
German community less than 1 hour away. Their main attractions are the
Sunday House, Nimitz Museum, Enchanted Rock and Antique shops.
